Montreal Permaculture Guild

The Montreal Permaculture Guild is a group of active people inspired by Permaculture Design Principles and dedicated to learning about, promoting and practicing sustainable living, in and around Montreal. Our activities are open to all and for the most part offered free of charge. For more information, click here to visit the Montreal Permaculture Guild Wiki.

We are becoming a centre of education, of resource- and skill-sharing, a gathering place for energy, ideas and motivation. As an urban-based group, we are particularly interested in researching, developing and promoting earth-regenerating practises that are suited for Montreal's unique environment. We seek to empower people to make their communities as self-sufficient as possible, so that they are better able to provide adequate food, water, energy, and waste-management systems, as we enter an era of declining resources.

Here is a video excerpt from one of the Montreal Urban Sustainability Education (MUSE) Courses organized by the Permaculture Guild:

Every week, we work to educate ourselves and others on how to live more sustainably, lower our impact on the world, and raise our understanding and awareness of the environment around us. We see gardens and communities alike as whole living organisms, and we strive to share the tools and knowledge that will help to build a healthier, more equitable world.

Our activities are open to all and for the most part offered free of charge
