What We Do
MUCS Working Groups:
The MUCS Kitchen is a community space and food security resource where people gather, cook and dine together.
The Northcliffe Square is a multi-purpose NDG community center that enables various organizations to share space and resources.
The Zero Food Waste Network rescues surplus food from local businesses and redistributes it to neighbourhood food security organizations that need it.
MUCS accomplishments in the last year:
MUCS volunteers contributed over 14,000 hours of volunteer time
MUCS hosted over 350 workshops and classes attended by 4000 participants
The MUCS Kitchen served over 4000 hot meals
The MUCS Zero Food Waste Network redistributed more than 25,000 kilos of food to over 5000 people
